Break time.

It wasn't as hot today. Finally I could get a break and enjoy some nice weather.

It's only going to last a couple of days though, then we're back to having another heat wave.

Hot!!

It's been very hot. It's been so hot that even my whiskers have flared up. Ani keeps us inside under air conditioner though :)

She had an early start today to beat the heat. She got up very early and took out the rug sucking monster and ran it over the carpets. That thing really scares me. I ran outside to hide from it. Ani had already washed everything out there, so it was nice and cool. I even did some playing with one of my favorite greens.

I hope everybody out there on Irene's path stays safe and dry. Keep it safe Millie.

With the sun and a lemon tree behind me, you can tell I'm a real Californian boy.

Pasha melting in the heat!

It's been very hot today.

It's been so hot that by the end of the day I almost melted and disappeared.

I just went poof!

Pasha then and now!

Look! Ani found an old picture of mine from 2006.

Back then I had all 4 of my k9 teeth.
 I'm missing one now.
Back then I had two full ears.
 I'm missing an ear-tip now.
Back then I had two complete.... well, it's too painful to mention what.
 I'm really missing them now.
Back then I had some scratches on my nose from my fights.
I don't have them now.
Back then I was 5 years younger.
I'm 5 years older now, and you can tell.

Back then I was loved by everyone and virus free.
Now I'm a taboo and have FIV.

Life is tough, but Ani says we're in this together.
Let's dance with the rhythm, shall we?

Here are some FIV facts:

Pasha's favorite toy.

You can’t tell just by looking at me, but I love to play. These are my toys sitting in my bed. There is my little mouse which I toss up in the air and then go chasing after it. Also there is this fluffy thing on a stick with a big nose and really skinny legs which is a replica of Ani (giggles!...). I like that one cause it rattles when I play with it.

But you know what my mostest favorite toy to play with is? A piece of green wire that Ani uses to tie up the gate of my enclosure shut. I like that thing when it runs across the grass all by itself. It always makes me wonder how it does that!

And when I catch that mysterious toy, it just makes me go… woah!!!!!....

To woof or not to woof!

I like to climb up everything instead of jumping up. I also like to follow Ani everywhere. She says I think I'm a dog. Heh, so what if I grawl once in a while? Doesn't everybody do that some times? I'd say she is the one who is confused!

Woof!!.... oh wait...?!?

Kitty of the jungle!

I spent some time outside in the bushes today...

... and then I saw a kitty approaching...

... I took the proper position ...

.... "pst, hey...

... hey you, Raven....

... okay!?!...

... hey, I'm here you dumb-head....

... hey, you like my butt?...

... hey, where did you go?...

... ok fine, ignore me!...

... I'll just catch up on my beauty tan. Oh yeah!!!"

End of story.

I'm not a messy eater!

No, I'm not a messy eater...

... there is no way I'm a messy eater...

... I am not a messy eater...

... Oh my catliness, I am a messy eater!

What you mean I'm a Maine-coon?

Ani thinks I'm a Maine-coon, but I'm telling you; I've never been to Maine, and I might have some stripes, but I've got nothing to do with those raccoons. How could anyone make such an outrageous claim?

(Yes, the orphan raccoons are gone. They went to a rescue center for rehabilitation)
